A truck collided with an e-rickshaw on Wednesday evening, resulting in the deaths of two people, including a 60-year-old woman, and leaving six others seriously injured, according to police reports.

The deceased have been identified as Jamila (60) and Shiva (15), who were passengers in the e-rickshaw when the truck struck it from behind near Shahpur town.

Shahpur Station House Officer (SHO) Rohit Chaudhary stated that the bodies have been sent for post-mortem, while the injured individuals have been taken to the hospital, with two in critical condition.

The truck driver fled the scene, abandoning the vehicle. A search operation is underway to locate him, the SHO added.
