Police have restricted heavy vehicle entry in Vrindavan from December 25 to January 2 due to massive rush at the Banke Bihari Temple, officials stated on Wednesday.
Between December 25 and December 31, over 10 lakh pilgrims from all over the nation are expected to visit the Banke Bihari Temple and other local temples, according to Senior Superintendent of Police Shailesh Kumar Pandey.
According to a new traffic control arrangement, heavy vehicle movement in Vrindavan will be prohibited from December 25 to January 2, said Pandey.

The SSP said that heavy vehicles entering the city from the outside are not permitted, but they are permitted to pass through.
Police will be stationed at all city entrances, and outside private vehicles may park in approved spots. According to the SSP, more than 250 police officers will be sent out to manage traffic.
According to Pandey, three primary routes have a colour-coded system in place for e-rickshaws that operate within the city. According to him, the e-rickshaws will also have QR codes attached to them that will list the drivers' Aadhar card, driver's license, vehicle registration number, and insurance information.
