Yamuna Pushta Expressway: The Uttar Pradesh government has reviewed a proposal for the long-pending 30-kilometre elevated corridor, the Yamuna Pushta Expressway, which would connect Sector 150 to Kalindi Kunj and further link up with the Yamuna Expressway.
The project aims to ease traffic congestion on the Noida Expressway and improve connectivity between Delhi-NCR and western India by providing faster access to the upcoming Noida International Airport at Jewar, Times of India reported.

Yamuna Pushta Expressway To Ease NCR Traffic, Boost Connectivity
Traffic congestion on the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway has increased due to rapid urbanisation and the upcoming Jewar Airport.
- The Yamuna Pushta Expressway, a 30-kilometre elevated corridor, has emerged as a key alternative route connecting Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, and Jewar airport.
- Once constructed, the Yamuna Pushta Expressway would significantly reduce congestion, lessen travel time, and ensure smooth movement of passengers and goods between Jhajjar, Agra, and other NCR regions.
- Additionally, the 30-kilometre elevated corridor is expected to connect emerging activity hubs, including Sector 168 and Sector 150, and could integrate with the existing Eastern Peripheral Expressway network, Times Now reported.
- This would enhance connectivity across NCR, support regional infrastructure development and prepare the area for the smooth operation of the upcoming Jewar Airport.

Why Yamuna Pushta Expressway Has Been Delayed?
- The Yamuna Pushta Expressway has been delayed as the Irrigation Department is yet to issue a No Objection Certificate (NOC). Authorities have raised concerns that construction near the Yamuna Pushta Expressway embankment may lead to weaker flood protections and disrupt existing drainage systems, the report added.
- The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) cannot proceed with construction until approval has been granted and can only move ahead if the corridor is designated as a national highway.
- The Yamuna Pushta Expressway project is still under review by the respective authorities.
