YEIDA Housing Scheme 2025: The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has announced a new plan to offer affordable residential plots, which is a significant step in tackling the housing difficulties faced by industrial workers. With plots priced between Rs 7 lakh and Rs 7.5 lakh through a lottery system, the initiative targets workers making Rs 2.5 lakh or less yearly.

The authority's next board meeting will look into YEIDA's plan for affordable homes. The goal of this project is to provide assistance to workers who are having difficulty locating reasonably priced accommodation close to their places of employment, while industrial land prices in the Yamuna region continue to rise.

The region's industrial growth is still in its early stages, and the growing workforce has emphasised the urgent need for accessible and affordable housing options.

The scheme concentrates on 30-square-metre plots in Sector 18, where those who win the lottery will be able to construct two-story houses. Applicants will need to provide legitimate income certifications attesting to their eligibility in order to guarantee that the program serves the target population.

Nowadays, a large number of industrial workers reside in rented housing in nearby towns, where the basic utilities and infrastructure are frequently poor.

Living circumstances have been worse as a result of the increased demand on the resources already available in these locations due to the inflow of inhabitants. By giving workers the opportunity to own houses near industrial centre, YEIDA's plan seeks to lessen this burden, enhance their quality of life, and lessen their dependency on shoddy renting choices.
