Following the cessation of rainfall and the lifting of a five-day suspension, the second phase of the Char Dham Yatra has resumed with enthusiasm among pilgrims.

On Sunday, 2,000 devotees departed for Badrinath, 10,000 for Kedarnath, and 1,500 for Hemkund Sahib. The pilgrimage to Gangotri Dham will also commence on Sunday, with the district administration dispatching groups of pilgrims based on weather, road, and safety conditions.

However, due to a lunar eclipse, all temples in the state, including those of the Char Dham, will remain closed on Sunday during the Sutak Kaal, an inauspicious period. The Sutak Kaal is set to begin at 12:57 PM, nine hours before the eclipse, which is scheduled from 9:57 PM to 1:27 AM, lasting approximately three and a half hours.

As a result, the Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri in Haridwar will be conducted earlier, at 12:30 PM, and temple doors will reopen only on Monday morning.
