Preparations are in full swing for the proposed visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the Silver Jubilee celebrations of Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. The main event is scheduled to be held at the Forest Research Institute (FRI).
Late on Thursday evening, Garhwal Divisional Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey and Director General of Information Banshidhar Tiwari conducted an on-site inspection of the FRI venue to take a detailed stock of the arrangements.
Review Of Arrangements
During the inspection, both officials reviewed the ongoing work and issued instructions to complete all preparations in a timely and meticulous manner. They stated that there should be no room for any negligence or shortcomings in a historic event like the Silver Jubilee.
The detailed review covered several key areas:
Main Venue: The main pandal (marquee), stage design, backdrop, and layout plan.
Guest and Public Areas: Seating for VIP and VVIP guests, the spectator gallery, and entry and exit routes for the general public.
Operations and Security: The security cordon, media zone, parking arrangements, and smooth traffic management.
Services: Deployment of emergency services and sanitation arrangements.
After taking suggestions from engineers, the officials directed necessary improvements.
Key Directives
Clear directives were given to all concerned officials to ensure a seamless event:
Garhwal Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey stated that in view of the Prime Minister's proposed program, it is essential to maintain strong coordination and communication channels among all departments so the ceremony can be conducted without any hindrance.
Director General of Information Banshidhar Tiwari said that preparations related to media management and information dissemination are also in their final stages, and the program will be presented in a well-organised and spectacular manner.

Additional Director of Information Ashish Tripathi, Assistant Director Badri Chand Negi, Arrangements Officer Rampal Rawat, and other senior officials were also present during the inspection.
