A sensational revelation has emerged in the case of two missing minor sisters from the Kelakheda police station area. Following the rescue of the girls, the police have arrested their own father on charges of rape and under the POCSO Act, based on the victims' statements.
The Disappearance And Investigation
According to the Kelakheda police, a local resident filed a complaint on January 1, stating that his two minor daughters (aged 15 and 13) had left home without informing anyone. When they could not be found despite a thorough search, the police registered a case against unknown persons and initiated an investigation. The investigation was handed over to SSI Vinod Fartyal.
Rescue From Delhi
Considering the gravity of the matter, a police team was constituted by the In-charge Inspector of Kelakheda under the direction of the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) and the supervision of the Circle Officer (CO) of Bazpur. The team questioned people near the scene and scrutinised footage from approximately 60 to 70 CCTV cameras in the Kelakheda town area. Acting swiftly, the police team recovered both minor sisters from Delhi. Following their rescue, the girls were lodged at the One Stop Centre in Rudrapur.
Allegations Before The Child Welfare Committee
In their statements recorded before the Child Welfare Committee (CWC), the girls made serious allegations against their father. They revealed that he had forcibly established physical relations with them about two years ago and had been continuously molesting them. They stated that they ran away from home to escape this abuse. Based on these statements, the police added Sections 64 and 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and Section 5(l)/6 of the POCSO Act to the case, naming the father as the primary accused.
Arrest And Police Team
The police arrested the accused from his residence on Wednesday. He was presented in court after undergoing a medical examination. The team involved in the rescue and arrest included In-charge Inspector Dharmveer Solanki, Sub-Inspector Vinod Fartyal, Woman Sub-Inspector Poonam Rawat, and Constable Sachin Kumar.
