California Viral Video: A shocking robbery shook a quiet shopping area in San Ramon, California, when a large group of thieves broke into a jewellery store and stole nearly $1 million worth of jewellery in just over a minute. The bold daylight heist was caught on camera, leaving everyone shocked. The incident happened on Monday at Heller Jewellers. Security footage shows more than 20 masked people dressed in black rushing in, smashing glass display cases with crowbars and pickaxes and grabbing as much jewellery as they could.

“When they went in, they basically took over the store. Basically, taking whatever jewellery was available," Lt. Mike Pistello from the San Ramon PD told ABC 7 News. Even though the store had a security door upgraded after a similar $1 million robbery in 2023, it couldn’t stop the thieves this time. The door locked automatically behind them, but they fired shots to escape. “What ended up happening was, once the suspects went in, the door locked behind them," Pistello added.

The robbery lasted only about 1 minute and 20 seconds. Police identified at least 23 suspects from the video, while eyewitnesses think around 30 people were involved. Investigators believe the heist was carefully planned, as the thieves arrived in six vehicles and parked just 100 feet from the store.

"This is another reason why people are leaving CA in droves. Nothing is safe in CA, unless, of course, you are a criminal or an illegal alien. Of course, by definition, if you are an illegal alien, then of course you are a criminal, by having broken our immigration laws," a user wrote.
