Viral Video: A recent video on Instagram is winning hearts across India for promoting a simple but powerful message, ensuring the safety of women traveling alone is everyone’s responsibility. In the video, two men drive a car while another films. Ahead of them, a woman rides her scooter alone through a relatively deserted area. The man recording says, “Ek bacchi sunsan area se nikal rahi hai, yeh rasta thoda bahut danger hai. Idhar peene khaane waale log aate hain. Hum gaadi peeche peeche chala rahe hain. Appko agar aisa kahin lage kee koi bacchi ya mahila akeli ja rahi hai toh unko safe mehsoos karaye.”

Noticing she might be unsafe, the men follow her, making sure she feels protected. He reassures her: “Beta daro mat, aram se chalao, hum saath main chal rahe hai na. Aage lelo, aage.” He explains the reason for recording: “Kaafi aise scam bhi hote hai, isleye humne recording bhi on kari hai. Toh aap dekh rahe hai kee kaise yeh ek bacchi akeli ja rahi hai, toh lekin ab usko safe feel ho raha hai.”

The man also advises others, saying, “Agar aapko bhi aisi koi mahila dikhe jo akele gaadi chala rahi ho, toh aap thoda door apni gaadi chalayein taaki wo safe feel karein. Aur jab tak wo kisi public space main na chale jaaye tab tak aap unhe sahyog de.” At the end, the girl thanks the man and he concludes: “Akeli ladki mauka nahi zimmedaari hai, aur uss zimmedaari ko jitna acche se nibha sakte hai toh nibhayeega. Jai Hind.”
