59-Year-Old Man Receives Human ‘Poop’ Instead Of Groceries Ordered Online; Internet Disgusted

By now, social media has already witnessed way too many food-related disasters where people either received some kind of ‘unexpected’ insect or animal in their orders or something else entirely. But this recent case, in particular, broke all the ‘disgusting records’ there are and left the entire internet ‘gagging’. A 59-year-old man in the UK, Phil Smith, ordered online groceries with the aim to restock his food supplies. But what he received instead left him ‘startled’ and horrified. As per the New York Post, the poor man received human ‘poop’ inside his shopping bags. Yes, let that sink in because you read that correctly. 

The said incident took place in the UK's Lancashire. The man reportedly bought groceries worth USD 186, after he came back home from a month’s break. The ‘disgusting’ discovery was made by accident when the poop-filled bag fell on the ground and left the man confused and terrified at the same time. “All this poo fell out and I was totally shocked. I thought, What on Earth is this?” the 59-year-old was quoted as saying to the British news agency SWNS. “I checked another bag and saw diarrhea,” he was further quoted saying to SWNS. 

Rushing into action almost immediately, Smith made a call to the responsible grocery store, Iceland. He reportedly asked them to take the ‘poopie delivery’ back. On the issue being addressed, the unfortunate customer was then reportedly offered a refund. 

“I informed them I didn't want a replacement and asked for it to be picked up. They have just been flippant with me throughout the last few days. I don't want any sort of compensation—I simply want my money back,” Smith was further quoted saying. Reportedly, the refund process was not as smooth, as it took ‘days’, according to the New York Post.

The matter is now under investigation as Smith also contacted a health inspector narrating the ordeal.
