But the one that still remains at the top is the spine-chilling close encounter that Australians often face with some of the most dangerous animals. And among these animals, snakes often top the charts. A video exemplifying the same surfaced online, where a 5-meter-long carpet python was seen hopping to a tree from a rooftop. Many people were gathered to watch the reptile make its way from a house to a tree. The video instantly went viral and left netizens shocked.
The video was shared on social media site X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘Massimo'. The post was captioned, "Only in Australia will you see a 5-meter-long carpet python tree hopping in the suburbs."
In the video, the 5-meter-long reptile was seen slithering its way from a rooftop to a tree. Before hopping to another tree, the massive python was seen popping out its head and taking a look at the people who were gathered near the house to witness the spine-chilling incident. Despite the incident being horrifying, some of the people were heard laughing in the video's background.

The video went viral and left the netizens divided. Some people found the reptile beautiful, while others found the possibility of a python on a rooftop scary. Some netizens also called it normal for Australia as the country is quite popular when it comes to dangerous animals lurking near civilisation. The video was shared on August 28 and has pulled a whopping 5.7M views from the netizens.
