Viral Video: It’s mostly commendable to be a land of opportunists, and India is surely considered one of the countries where people hardly ever back down from seizing a good opportunity. However, the otherwise praiseworthy trait took a quick 180-degree turn when the same people grabbed the ‘opportunity’ of looting free liquor. In an embarrassing incident in Uttar Pradesh’s Agra, chaos erupted after people looted liquor bottles and cans after they fell from a vehicle that was carrying them. The vehicle carrying 110 boxes, reportedly hit a speed bump, resulting in around 30 boxes falling on the road.
A video of the same was shared online, where people were looting the liquor from the street in broad daylight. The date of the incident could not be confirmed. The clip, needless to say, went viral on social media.
The video was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘vani_mehrotra’. The post was captioned, “Agra locals collect liquor bottles and cans that fell off a moving truck.”

The video went viral almost immediately and left people reacting. Most mocked the people involved in the loot, while some cracked jokes on the same. Many also dubbed such addictions threatening to the country’s development. The video was shared yesterday and pulled many views.
Taking to the internet, people shared their take. “People of the Republic of India, by getting addicted to hashish and cannabis drugs, are pushing themselves and their families into darkness, cutting their own feet and pushing their lives into the quagmire of devastation and ruin, and are getting destroyed and they blame God that this is what the Almighty had written in our fate,” a user said.
“I'm not surprised. It’s UP, after all, anything can happen here,” added a second netizen. “Of course, these people did that. This is what will take the country forward,” commented a third person. “Now the religion of these fools is not getting corrupted?” joined a fourth person. “I'm surprised that they did not attack the vehicle,” added another.
