Who is Nancy Tyagi?
The 23-year-old ‘former’ UPSC aspirant, is now a digital content creator, who began her journey with mere shopping haul videos and DIYs. They all were majorly related to turning basic fabric into breathtaking outfits. Hailing from UP’s Baranwa village, the girl with some big dreams in her eyes, came to Delhi a while back. Back then, she reportedly wanted to crack UPSC. However, her UPSC plans came to an abrupt halt after the world was hit by the deadly COVID-19 pandemic. But for this girl, the halt came as an opportunity as far as her passion was concerned.
Tyagi reportedly began to make DIY designs and eventually moved on to making mind-numbing dresses from scratch. Of course, she, like all influencers, faced some trolling at the beginning, but the young girl chose to only move forward until she finally made it to something as grand as being a guest at the 77th Cannes Film Festival on the French Riviera.
Cannes Film Festival debut:
For her Cannes debut, Tyagi stitched a beautiful pink ruffle dress, which became a hit in an instant. On top of that, the girl also attended the festival with a second look with another self-stitched dress. For the second look, she chose to kill it on the Red Carpet in a saree, with a hood! Her pink ruffle dress was created out of 1,000 meters of fabric, which weighed around 20 kg, as per reports.
She also shared her third look for the Cannes Film Festival, which was also a hit.
Apart from the 23-year-old making it this big despite having no fashion degree, what left an impression on the audience was that the girl conversed in Hindi with the media.
