Shantanu Naidu Viral Video: Open Instagram or WhatsApp these days and you'll see a flood of people posting pictures in glamorous saree portraits. But here's the twist, they are not the real images. The craze started after Google DeepMind's new image editing model, Nano Banana, went live on the Google Gemini App. With just a few clicks, users can turn their image into a retro style or filmy style picture, complete with chiffon sarees, flowy hair and dramatic backdrops. For many users, it's like living out a Bollywood dream.

But not everyone is happy with the trend. Among the funniest reactions came from Shantanu Naidu, who once worked with the late Ratan Tata. In a video on Instagram, he jokingly called out Indians for jumping on the AI saree trend despite already owning sarees. His hilarious rant, delivered in accented Hindi, had viewers in splits: “Tum log India me hai. America meinnahihai. India! Land of the saree. Tumharekapaatmein at least 15 saree hai. Itna lazy ho gaya tum… AI ko generate karne ko bola jo kapdatumharekapaatmein…”

Naidu pointed out that it makes no sense to ask AI to dress you up in something you already have at home. To make his point funnier, he compared it to asking AI to create a picture of him with his dog when the dog is literally sitting beside him. “Original saree mein tum aur sundardikhtahai. Saree pehno, photo nikalo,” he urged, insisting that nothing beats the charm of wearing a real saree.

He did admit that he would understand if people were generating AI pictures of themselves in wedding gowns since not many Indians own one. But sarees? That, he said, was just pure laziness. To make sure nobody took his words too seriously, he captioned the post, “Mai tohmastimaiboltahai.”

His playful video struck a chord instantly. The post shared on 'socktalks.tv' handle, which is handled by Shantanu, a few hours ago handle, received 1 million views from people. The comments were filled with laughter and agreement. One user wrote, “Inner me: Finally someone said it.” Another chimed in, “Bro just casually spilled the truth and sipped his tea.”

"Finally, somebody chose to speak the truth," wrote a third user. "U r a star .. no wonder our hero Ratan Tata Sir loved u so much," added a fourth user. "And Gemini is wearing the same saree, red chiffon/Jimmy Choo saree, no color change," added another user jokingly.
