Viral Reddit Post: Sometimes, small acts of love leave a big impact. That’s exactly what happened in Bengaluru when a passenger noticed something touching in his auto ride. The driver had a photo of his late pet dog displayed inside the vehicle. The passenger, moved by the gesture, shared the moment on Reddit’s 'IndianPets' subreddit under the title, “An auto driver who carries his late dog’s picture with him every day!”
The Reddit user recalled the memory: “I’m posting this after five months of the incident. I was in Bangalore for my summer internship. I booked an auto and told the guy I’d be a little late. When I reached, I saw him feeding street dogs some dog biscuits. Not Parle-G!” The passenger continued, “Now the sweet part, he had this picture of a dog pasted on the front of his auto. It was his pet who had passed away just a month ago. That cutie was only four months old. As a huge dog lover, it honestly moved me.”
At the end of the ride, the passenger tried to give the driver 100 extra rupees to buy more biscuits for the street dogs. At first, the driver refused, but finally accepted after being told, “It’s not for you, but for those cuties you feed.” A simple moment on a regular auto ride ended up touching hearts online.

The post shared two days ago garnered significant views, comments and likes from the social media users. "Man loves dog. Good man. Dog loves the man. He is a very good man," a user wrote. "May he get double the love and kindness he spreads," a second user wrote. "Made me tear up so hard. Poor puppy. I know this man definitely treated him so well," wrote a third user.
"Before October of 2024, I was damn afraid of dogs, even little pups, but in that month, my family adopted a stray pup. Her name is Bulbul. There is a tragic story behind it. As she came into this world, her mother was killed by local people with her other 2 pups. Only she was left; somehow, my father was able to rescue her and bring her home. She is now going to be a year old, and my love for stray dogs is just increasing day by day," a fourth user shared their experience.
