Bengaluru Driver Viral Video: What’s happening to traffic discipline in Bengaluru? A recent video making the rounds on social media has once again put the spotlight on growing road violations in the city. This time, it’s a white SUV driving on the wrong side of a busy road, and that too, with complete ease and zero hesitation. The clip was reportedly shot near the Shell petrol pump in Seegehalli. What’s even more shocking is that the SUV wasn’t just slightly off course, it took over the extreme right lane, directly facing oncoming traffic. Other drivers on the road had to quickly move aside to avoid a crash.

The video was posted on X by a user who shared, “Wrong-side driving is a new norm in Bangalore. Even cars, buses and trucks. This KIA driver was driving on the wrong side of the rightmost lane. This occurred in front of a shell petrol pump in Seegehalli, Bangalore.” The post also tagged the Bengaluru Traffic Police in hopes of action being taken.

Soon after the video went live, people flooded the comments with frustration and anger. Many highlighted how such incidents have become a daily nightmare for commuters in the city.

The viral video shared on X (Formerly Twitter) by the handle '@agrawalnavin' was captioned, "Wrong side driving is a new norm in Bangalore. Even cars, buses, and trucks. This KIA driver was driving on the wrong side, that too on the right-most lane. This occurred in front of a Shell petrol pump in seegehalli, Bangalore." The post shared two days ago received 19k views from people.

Social media users without wasting any time reacted to the viral video. One user wrote, "We need to take so much effort to report these for action from police. All this for a Rs 500 fine. This won't stop them from repeating it. Fines and enforcement need to be stricter." "India should have zero tolerance for traffic rule violation," a second user added. "Firstly, staying safe on the road isn't just about following rules—it's about valuing your life and others too. Secondly, if you're driving on the wrong side and a mishap happens — it's considered gross negligence," added a third user.

"I can post 100s of wrong-side driving vehicles videos every day from my dashcam, but what's the use? I was interested earlier but no one cares, last all hopes. This menace is increasing every day and no action plans to stop this," added a fourth user. "It's high time traffic police catch and penalize them. Focus more on rash driving one way, and wrong side driving, as it puts others' lives in danger than on helmets, where the choice is his own life. There are plenty of such blackspots near traffic signals," added another user.
