Bengaluru Viral Post: Living on rent comes with its own drama, and recently, one Bengaluru man tried to rant about it online, only for the internet to flip the script on him. The man posted screenshots of text messages from his landlord on Reddit, calling him “annoying.” In the post, he mentioned that he had recently moved into a standalone 1BHK and at first thought his landlord was a “genuine” person. But now, he felt the landlord was behaving like a “typical chindi nan maga.”

The screenshots showed the landlord requesting basic things, like closing the windows during rain, avoiding extra parking space, and not letting delivery people up to the second floor for safety reasons. Instead of finding these unreasonable, most people online found the landlord’s texts polite and fair.

Soon, the post backfired. Reddit users flooded the comments, calling out the tenant for overreacting. Many pointed out that the landlord was simply being responsible, and the tenant was the one making a fuss over nothing. The post was shared by the handle ‘EarthPuzzleheaded701’ and was captioned, “Why all landlords are like this.” But instead of sympathy, the tenant got roasted for complaining about what netizens called “completely valid” rules.

Reddit users reacted to the viral post in the comment section. "You have answered your question. Cribbing for every little thing, and this constant monitoring and harassment make him a bad landlord. Blinkit delivery agents are not allowed on the 2nd floor, don't go to the 2nd floor in your building. Pretty sure there won't be a lift in this building. Leaving the window open in my house that I have rented house should affect me if water gets on my things. How does it bother the landlord? 2 bikes are parked in a 1 bhk, could be temporary, a friend visiting. How does it matter if I park 1 bike, 2 bikes, or 6 bikes as long as it's properly parked?" a user wrote.

"The way you convey matters, I felt. He is not is slave nor staying for free! It’s such a pain to make you feel low for such silly things. I never tell any repairs to landlord, I just get it fixed. They refuse, negotiate. To avoid all unwanted taking, I just get it done anything the house needs," a second user added. "N, he is asking so politely, dude. Who would even allow Blinkit guys into the house? Why would u leave the windows open when you're not at home? Why would you wanna park 2 bikes, when he already told u in the beginning? Clearly here the problem is u, mate," added a third user.

"I mean, except for the annoying dots (..........) Whatever he/she asked for is reasonable and makes sense," a fourth user wrote. "His property, His rules. That's what I get told in this sub when I say they outright deny flats to muslims or non-vegetarians on face," added another user.
