Bengaluru Viral Video: Bangalore, the city that was once a heaven for countless in the country, has been turning into a nightmare over the last few months. Social media has witnessed far too many instances where people from outside Karnataka, especially from the north, were harassed for the most nonsensical or absolutely no reason. Experiencing something similar, a couple's ride at night turned out to be an unpleasant journey as they were randomly stopped by a scooter rider, who was coming from the opposite side. The couple, who were inside their car, refused to get out whereas the scooter rider gestured for them to get out of the car.

The entire matter was captured on the car’s dashboard camera, the footage of which went viral. As per reports, the incident took place in Bangalore's Kadubeesanahalli-Panathur road, at around 10:38 PM on October 13. The situation was only diffused after a few passers-by stopped and intervened, giving the couple a chance to leave safely. As the matter went viral, the police also responded and updated about an FIR being filed at the Varthur Police Station.

The video, after getting shared, pulled many reactions. Most people expressed concerns over the increasing number of such incidents in Karnataka, especially in Bengaluru, while the rest demanded police action.

The post was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘east_bengaluru’. The post was captioned, “@BlrCityPolice @CPBlr. Last night around 10:38 pm on Kadubeesanahalli-Panathur Road near Vibgyor School, a couple in a car was attacked by an assailant on a bike. Thankfully, they survived thanks to the intervention of bystanders. This sets a dangerous precedent for the IT corridor. We received this video in our ERT group. The couple has gone to PS to lodge a complaint. #Crime #Bengaluru.”

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “I don't see the attack on that clip. Was the attack not caught on the dashcam? Having said that, it is certainly unpleasant to get stopped by someone at night,” a user said. “Why this is happening again and again in Bangalore?” commented a third person.

“How many many many cases? Action was taken and a quick bail. And they come again again and again. What happens to that bouncer at Carmelaram? What happens to that rowdies who chased a guy to APARTMENT NO PUNISHMENT = NO fear,” added another. “Non-Kannadigas are now being looked upon as OUTSIDERS as if from another country. This attitude will destroy Bengaluru's unique tranquility. Sad,” wrote another.
