Bihar Viral Video: No matter what sector or field, the issue of leaves, it seems, is a ‘constant’. From corporate to medical, and from education to media, you name it and every profession has witnessed its fair share of ‘leaves scarcity’. Displaying something similar, the matter turned ugly at this school in Bihar’s Gopalganj, where two teachers resorted to a brutal physical altercation allegedly over some leaves. A video of the same was shared on social media, which went viral. In the video, a female teacher was seen hitting a male teacher, whereas the rest of the teachers were trying to intervene. The exact date of the incident could not be confirmed.

The video began to float only after getting shared. Most people criticized the teachers involved and chastised Bihar’s Education system, while the rest compared the state’s education with other states and suggested coming up with stricter rules.

The Bihar video was shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘Bihareducated1’. The post was captioned, “This video of the fight is being reported from Gopalganj district in which the fight between a teacher and a female teacher is clearly visible! How justified is such a fight in the temple of education and especially this behavior with a woman is quite condemnable! Therefore, the Education Minister is requested to take action against them @sunilkbv.” The video was shared yesterday and pulled many likes.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “It seems that until the last decade, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar were at similar developmental stages. However, Uttar Pradesh has made strides in literacy and women's empowerment, whereas Bihar continues to grapple with fundamental challenges,” a user said. “Will they get permanent leave for such an act?” asked another.

“What do you think might have happened to you? I think the male teacher must have done something. I am not able to understand anything in the video. But there must have been some mistake and that is why there is trouble,” added another. “Conflict over leave issues at a school can escalate quickly, but it’s crucial for educators to resolve differences professionally,” commented a fourth person.
