Bihar Viral Video: Have you ever been asked to pay a higher price for a product more than how much it read on its MRP? Well, if your answer is ‘yes’, then we hope that you are also aware that the incident was a scam. Basically, nowhere in the entire country, a retailer is supposed to sell something at a higher price than the mentioned MRP. YET, it is one of the most common scams that happens all around the country, especially in small villages, remote areas, and bus or train stations. However, when this man faced something similar, his way of handling the matter was a bit different; a confrontation. A video was shared on social media, where the man was being sold a water bottle worth Rs 18 at a higher price of Rs 20. Refusing to buy the bottle, the man confronted the shopkeeper and began to leave.

However, before leaving, the man clicked a few pictures of the shop, which triggered the shop owner who began to argue with the man. The matter only turned ugly when the duo began to give threats to each other. As per the post, the incident took place in Bihar’s Madhepura, on November 06. The video of the same went viral on social media.

The Bihar video, after getting shared, pulled many reactions. Most people demanded action against the shopkeeper, while the rest pointed out the increasing number of such scams where people were selling products for more than the mentioned MRP.

The video was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘gharkekalesh’. The post was captioned, “Kalesh b/w a Shopkeeper and Customer over Water Bottle Price (Water bottle whose MRP is Rs. 18 and the Shopkeeper was asking Rs. 20 for it) Madhepura.” The video was shared a few days ago and pulled more than 156K views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “2 rupees for cooling,” a user said. “Get the shop closed, the owner is selling at a price higher than the MRP,” added the second person. “Background artist of the year in this video was Taklu Bhaiya who was honestly watching which tree's photo was taken,” added another.

“This problem is everywhere, especially in small towns and cities. These people charge 2 to 5 rupees extra for soft drinks and water bottles. You have no other option. The price of Railneer water bottle available at station and in train is also ₹15 but they will quietly take ₹20 from you,” commented a fourth user.
