Boycott Zara: From countries to major personalities, almost anyone who can, has shown their solidarity against the destruction against humanity that has been taking place in Hamas-occupied Gaza in Israel-Hamas war, which has been going on for over 60 days. More than 17,000 people have reportedly lost their lives, whereas the Gaza Strip has horrifyingly turned into a graveyard that knows no end. Amid this, Spanish clothing retailer Zara also tried something different for its latest photoshoot which was about a jacket. However, the brand was quick to draw major flak from people, especially Palestinians, for all the wrong reasons that were all connected to the ‘Gaza misery’.

The ‘props’ and the background that the brand used for the photoshoot resembled a lot like the Gaza destruction with body-wrapped figures, which resembled ‘Islamic burial attire’. The set also featured ‘ruined boxes’ that appeared a lot like ‘coffins’. As soon as people noticed the stark resemblance, criticism flew in like seawater on a sinking boat. People were quick to criticise and trend the hashtag ‘boycott Zara’ on the internet.

Taking to the internet, people shared their take on the fast fashion brand and chastised it heavily. Many called the brand out for using the ruins and misery of a community and people as ‘props’ and decorations, while others boycotted it. People were quick to make the ‘Boycott Zara’ trend on the internet.

“If you are asking why #BoycottZara ?? This is why..Such shameful act,” a user said.

“Let's always remember this crucial moment! Pledging to boycott ZARA for a lifetime, standing united against any actions that don't align with our values,” said a next.

“Brand @ZARA latest marketing campaign is utterly shameful and disgraceful. Zara actions reveal a lack of humanity. Palestine's pain isn't for sale. Our support stands firmly with Palestine,” commented next.

“Now you are next. Zara,” said another.

“How disgusting the world we live in, how disgusting humans are when there is no humanity,” commented fifth.
