Breaking Olympics 2024: Gone are the days when dance forms like breakdancing were something that could have hardly made one’s name, apart from at places and stages like the ‘streets’. It also might have been recognised as an engaging source of entertainment keeping in mind all the tournaments that were held and hit movies that were made padding around breakdancers, but it is only now that breakdancing finally got its real ‘official break’; Olympic Breaking. Yes, it is exactly how it sounds, and the time for breakdancers to shine at a highly recognised international-level event has finally arrived. Paris Olympics 2024 is all set to etch history after becoming the first Olympics games for adults to introduce breakdancing as one of its competitions.

Breaking Olympics 2024:

The game is being referred to as ‘Breaking’ at the Olympics, which will take place today, August 09 at 4 PM, as per the Olympics. The game or dance was first introduced during the 2018 Youth Olympic Games in Argentina’s Buenos Aires. Seeing its popularity among the young generation, ‘Breaking’ reportedly became the only new game that was then scheduled for the Paris Olympics 2024.

The dance form itself reportedly began in New York City’s Bronx in the 1970s, whereas the term ‘breaking’ was coined over the fact that the songs breakdancers danced to had ‘instrumental breaks in the music’.
