Nepal Viral Video: British YouTuber Harry, who’s known for his travel videos on the channel 'We Hate The Cold,' has suddenly become an unexpected newsmaker. His video footage of protests in Nepal, which has now been viewed over 5 million times, offers a rare, raw look at the chaos that unfolded in Kathmandu. Captured on the ground, Harry’s video shows the intense scenes of protesters setting fire to vehicles, buildings going up in flames and streets filled with destruction. The footage quickly went viral, with many calling him 'the accidental reporter' for his unplanned yet pivotal role in documenting the unrest.

Harry, who usually focuses on travel content, never intended to cover political events. In his own words, “I just happened to be there with my camera,” as the unrest caught him off guard while Nepal was under a sudden curfew.

In his YouTube post, he shared: “I cannot believe what I saw today. Gen Z protests in Nepal and how they unfolded from my lens. The full journey back from Thailand to the UK on 2 wheels continues soon once I am able to get out of curfew here and fly the bike. It seems it might be a while until that happens. Love you all.”

Though Harry wasn’t prepared for the chaos, his footage quickly gained praise for giving viewers a front-row seat to a crucial moment in Nepal’s history. His raw, unfiltered coverage caught the attention of many and some even hailed him as an unintentional conflict journalist. His video helped shine a light on the unrest that forced Nepal’s government to back down.
