Viral Reddit Post: People may laugh off talks of black magic, but the truth is, it still manages to send shivers down the spine. A recent viral video is proof of just that. A CCTV clip that surfaced online left viewers disturbed as it showed a woman sneaking out at midnight and throwing something at the gate of her neighbour’s house. Moments later, she quickly rushed back inside. When the footage was closely seen, it was revealed that she had thrown a ‘NimboMirch’, an item that is often linked to ‘jadoo tona’ and black magic.
The video was shared on Reddit by a user who goes by the handle ‘Gurl_tfff’. According to the post, the woman in the video was their neighbour, who was always believed to be jealous of the family. The Redditor wrote, “Caught my Neighbour aunty on CCTV throwing नींबू मिर्ची at my gate: 12 am. It’s really scary and disturbing that she let her hatred go this far. We never had any conflicts, though we always sensed her jealousy. The irony is that she keeps fasts, worships goddesses, and calls herself a devoted Brahmin ...yet chose this path over her own God.”

The viral clip quickly caught the attention of social media users and garnered numerous views. While some viewers admitted the act looked creepy and spine-chilling, others dismissed it, calling it superstition or a harmless prank.
"People are still living with this nimbu-mirchi superstition in 2025. Some are practising it, some are still believing in this nonsense and living in fear. Scientific temper has gone with the wind," a user wrote. "When life throws a lemon at you, make lemonade... chill dude kchnahihoga sab HOAX hai," a second user wrote. "You should confront her. For sure, she will fight because that is what she wants. Let others know about her," wrote a third user.
"Isn't she throwing that in a pile of garbage? It looks like that, but obviously this tonatotka thing is very stupid to say the least," added another user. "It’s honestly funny to me that people still believe in all this nonsense with lemons, chillies and so-called “Tantra.” They try to connect it with real Tantra, but that’s just not true," added another user.
