Snake Viral Video: Mostly, encounters with snakes are nothing but a nightmare, but this deadly reptile instead ended up getting sympathies, after people found it with an entirely swallowed bottle of cough syrup. The snake in question was a cobra that evidently appeared to be struggling as it was unable to regurgitate the bottle. A video of the same was also shared on social media, which went viral in no time. As per the post, the incident took place in Odisha’s Bhubaneswar. Thankfully for the snake, some volunteers who were called through the ‘snake helpline’ were quick to arrive to help the reptile. At the end of the clip, the snake was able to take the bottle out.

The video was shared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘susantananda3’. The post was captioned, “A Common cobra swallowed a cough syrup bottle in Bhubaneswar & was struggling to regurgitate it. Volunteers from the snake helpline gently widened the lower jaw to free the rim of the base of the bottle with great risk & saved a precious life. Kudos.”

The video, soon after getting shared, went viral and left people reacting. Many thanked the rescuers for saving the snake, while the rest blamed humans for the incident and urged people to stop littering.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Why did it swallow a cough syrup bottle,” a user said. “How many times must something like this happen before people take responsibility for disposing of their waste properly and safely? Thank you for sharing & raising awareness,” added a second person.

“Thank you. Shame on human beings for polluting” joined a third user. “That's very well accomplished with care and patience. Congratulations,” commented another. “Did not like the taste of the cough syrup obviously! welcome to what humans are made to consume,” commented a fifth person.
