College Intern Viral Post: Imagine starting your first-ever internship and emailing the CEO with one bold line, “Have we tried increasing revenue?” That’s exactly what a college intern did on day one at Arrow Payments. Roshan Patel, the company’s founder and CEO, couldn’t keep it to himself. He posted a screenshot on X (formerly Twitter) with the caption, “We hired a college intern. Today is his first day. Here's what he just sent me.”
The intern’s short note read, “Hey, I had a quick idea for the company, sorry if this was already brought up, but have we tried increasing revenue?” Patel’s post appeared on July 29, 2025, and quickly exploded, with almost 12 million views in a day. People online had a field day, showering the intern with mock praise.
While most replies were jokes, some users admired the intern’s fearless attitude. Whether the email was serious or tongue‑in‑cheek, it sparked a lively debate about fresh ideas, confidence, and how a single sentence can set social media on fire.

Social media users flooded the comment section with comments like, “Finally, someone solved capitalism,” to “Genius CEOs have been waiting for this advice.” A user wrote, "Dumb question, but at least he had the courage to reach out to his boss and give ideas on how to help the company grow. Be appreciative and train him. (instead of calling him out)" "Next email... sorry if someone has already brought this up, but... have you tried lowering your expenses?" a second user added jokingly.
"You would be surprised how many companies have not, in fact, thought of doing that," added a third user. "Hey, I know your job is to make money... but have you tried to make money yet? Even if the intern has the best ideas in the world, it does sound condescending to the rest of the team who have been there for quite some time," a fourth user added.

"Tell him to put together a couple of ideas and shoot them to the CEO, cc’ing HR," a fifth user wrote. "Business is more fun when you try and limit revenue so you can play Jenga with your expenses until you run out of money," added another user.
