Viral Reddit Post: Not everyone has the courage to stand in court without a lawyer, especially in a tough divorce battle. But one man took that bold step and won big. He fought for himself, represented his own case, and ended up getting divorced without paying even a single rupee in alimony or maintenance. The story was shared on Reddit by a user named ‘itachi_senpai1’. According to the post, the man had three major legal cases filed against him by his wife: Section 498A, Domestic Violence, and CrPC 125.
She was also demanding a massive Rs 70 lakh as settlement. But instead of giving in, he chose to fight the case on his own, without hiring any lawyer. He appeared in court as a Party-In-Person and slowly turned the case in his favour. Both the domestic violence and CrPC 125 cases were dismissed. Meanwhile, during mediation, the wife's demand of Rs 70 lakh dropped to Rs 35 lakh, then Rs 30 lakh, but he stood his ground and joked, offering just Rs 1 lakh in return.
After three long years, the wife’s lawyer came forward to settle with zero alimony. The man even wrote the MoU and Mutual Consent Divorce petition himself and got divorced completely on his own terms.
To celebrate, he hosted a big party. The cake read, “Happily Divorced Zero Alimony Zero Maintenance.” His story is now viral online, with many users appreciating his courage and efforts, while also sparking discussion about the rise in false domestic abuse cases.

"Post it everywhere, post more pictures and bigger story and facts that helped him, people who are innocent will get hope," a user wrote. "As a man going through a divorce myself, I hope I get the same result as your friend did. Congrats to him," a second user added. "Bruh, every divorced man I am seeing has literally these three cases charged on them. Even my cousin is still facing this issue," added a third user.
"It's crazy how zero maintenance is seen as a point of celebration, when ideally she should have been in jail for false accusations," a fourth user wrote. "This man deserves to be carried on shoulders, and we should all sing songs for him. He needs to get famous," added another user.
"This is not a flex, but a glimmer of hope to people who face intimidation from lawyers or bullies via false accusations and court drama. Many of these threats trap people in doing the devil's bidding," added another user. "Congratulations on winning the war against the biased system," wrote another person.
