"I remember my 1st time so vividly.. I was in the 9th standard, and I didn’t have a phone. I was told by my mom to lock myself in a room (my mom’s progressive, it’s not her fault ), it was because of my maternal grandmother. I didn’t understand why. I asked my mom WHY? She didn’t have an answer. My dad wasn’t home. He came later in the evening and asked Mom where I was. She told her. He came to my room. I was embarrassed because it was sth new for me, so I didn’t open the door. But he insisted. I opened the door, sat me down, hugged and kissed me, and told my mom the door would not be locked and I could do whatever I wanted. At that moment, I felt so proud to be his daughter. My dad’s no more. I miss him so much. Anyway, god bless you," a third user shared her experience.
"I remember my first period very clearly.. For five days, only my favorite dishes were prepared..On the last day, I received new clothes, plenty of sweets, and gifts from everyone... As part of our Marathi tradition called otibharne..a ceremonial offering that includes coconut, a saree, rice, and haldi–kumkum..I experienced my very first oti," shared a fourth user.
