Viral Video: One’s bond with their parents is one of the most beautiful ones that many get to experience. And among all the bonds, a father and daughter's relationship is often considered even more special. Making a core memory in relation to something similar, a father was driving a car with his young daughter sitting on his lap, a video of which was also shared online. The video was shared by a woman, who captioned her video, “A daughter gets all the happiness of the world in her father's lap.” The video was basically ‘proof’ of how daughters love their fathers and vice versa. However, the clip instead drew some other concerns, which were mostly related to the duo’s road safety.

If you haven’t guessed it already, most netizens called it risky for the father to place his daughter in front of him while driving, keeping in mind the possible accidents that can happen. Expressing something similar, a physician also reshared the clip and wrote the possible repercussions of driving in such a manner.

The video was reshared on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘ashwinrajenesh’. The post read, “Looks adorable. But in the event of a frontal collision and subsequent airbag deployment, the infant's skull would be accelerated at ~320km/hr 6-8 inches into the man's thoracic cage, killing both instantly. Indian parents need a harsh reality check.”

“I'm sure that this dad loves his daughter dearly, and I really wish to believe that this dangerous indulgence of child endangerment was a singular lapse of his better judgment. Hoping he & other parents can realise the potential dangers involved in such practices, and do better,” the internet user further wrote in the comments. The video was shared yesterday and pulled 523K views from people.

The video went viral and pulled a mixed reaction. Most people agreed with the physician and chastised the father for his decision, while some advocated for the man and pointed out that he was not speeding. A few others were against the father as driving with a kid was also risky for other commuters on the road.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Imagine the guilt the other driver would have. After a moderate crash that normally everyone would walk away from ends up with a fatality,” a user said. “Poor judgment, risk assessment, and hazard awareness. This is what happens when stupidity, combined with ignorance of road safety and lack of enforcement of traffic rules,” added another.

“He is hardly driving at 30 kph, don’t be so dramatic. Hardly any airbag will deploy at that speed,” commented a third person. “Also the irresponsibility towards other drivers on the road. The driver of this car is constantly distracted and is a risk to everyone else on the road,” added a fourth person.
