Kerala Officer Viral Video: A woman forest officer from Kerala has become the talk of the town after a video of her calmly rescuing a massive 18-foot king cobra went viral. The bold act was caught on camera, showing her carefully lifting the huge snake from a stream using a snake-catching stick, without panic or hesitation. The officer, G S Roshni, carried out the entire rescue in just six minutes and safely released the reptile back into the wild. Her quick action and courage impressed thousands online.

Speaking to Manorama News, Roshni shared how special this moment was for her.
“It was my dream to rescue a king cobra. All snake rescuers are interested in this,” she said, adding that it’s rare to find this shy species in the Thiruvananthapuram area.

She’s a part of a special Rapid Response Team (RRT) that handles wildlife rescues. Roshni said she had always wished to visit places like Pathanamthitta, where more king cobras are found. “It felt like yesterday's King Cobra was kept for me. I am very happy. I rescued it very safely and released it,” she added, with a big smile.

The video shared on X (Formerly Twitter) by the handle ‘@Autokabeer’ was shared two days ago and received many likes, comments, and views from social media users. The post was captioned, “Kerala - Thiruvananthapuram; Scene of an 18-foot-long king cobra, lurking in a stream near a residential area, being skillfully captured by Roshni, a female officer from the Paruthippalli Range Forest Division.”

The internet has been applauding her brave act, calling her calm, skilled, and a real-life hero. While many people fear snakes, Roshni’s fearless approach has shown what true training, love for animals, and presence of mind look like in action. “Amazing woman. Very patient and daring lady,” a user wrote. “She is an Angel on earth.....she is protecting earth.... Solute to this officer,” added another user. “Excellent officer. Hatsoff. Deserve appreciation and cash award from higher authorities,” a third user wrote.
