The film ‘Gadar’ made headlines more than 20 years ago, when it was released back in 2001. The scenario was no different when its second instalment was released this month on August 11. ‘Gadar 2: The Katha Continues’ instantly became a hit as the fans were super-excited to dive back into the patriotic story of the 70s. A video surfaced on social media, showed the fans in Rajasthan arriving on tractors to watch the film in the theatres. The incident occurred in Bhilwara. The video soon went viral as the netizens loved the excitement shown by the fans.
The video was shared on the social media site X (formerly Twitter) by the user ‘HimeshMankad'. The post was captioned, “In 2001, I had heard stories of people visiting the cinema halls in trucks and tractors to watch #SunnyDeol in #Gadar. 22 years later, the craze is intact. A video from Inox, City Centre Mall, Bhilwara Rajasthan, for #Gadar2.”

In the video, a trail of tractors was seen entering the premises of a theatre. Each tractor was full of fans, some of whom also carried banners and posters. The enthusiasm among the fans was clear in the video.
The video went viral as the netizens loved the craze they saw among the fandom for the film. Many people also pointed out that the same was seen in states like Punjab and UP. The post also gained the attention of business tycoon Anand Mahindra, who expressed that the love shown by the fans pleased him. “In Rajasthan: people flocking to see #Gadar2 on Tractors. No prizes for guessing why I’m VERY pleased to see this,” the industrialist wrote.

“It's insane in Punjab,” a user said. “Isko Bolte hain Craze (This is called craze),” added a second viewer. “Not surprised! Though Gadar never fared too well here, Gadar 2 has opened to a Full House!” pointed out a third person. “Unbelievable..... Sunny Sir,” joined a fourth. “Go to Western UP in Meerut and Muzaffarnagar belt, Deol's movies are like riots. Experience once you will have best time ever,” wrote a fifth user. “Pure Rajasthan mai yehi chal raha hai bhai,” commented a sixth person.
The film ‘Gadar 2: The Katha Continues’ came out after more than 20 years after the release of its first instalment which was in 2001. The movie starred Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel as the main leads.
