The disturbing discovery has sparked outrage, with many calling for stricter action against such inhumane treatment of animals.
In the viral video, two men can be seen helping the dog escape from the jute sack. Several commuters stood nearby, recording the moment on their phones. Eventually, the men successfully rescued the distressed animal.
The viral video was shared on Instagram by the user 'streetdogsofbombay.' The post carried a heartbreaking caption questioning humanity: "How cruel have humans become? How can they laugh while witnessing such unimaginable cruelty?" It detailed the shocking incident where a helpless dog was stuffed inside a jute sack and abandoned on a train at Barasat Railway Station.

The viral video, shared two days ago, has garnered 167k views from social media users. In the comments section, many expressed their sorrow over the heartbreaking act of neglect and cruelty, while others praised the man for rescuing the dog.
One user expressed disbelief, writing, "I can't believe people are laughing at this. Such individuals deserve shock treatment. God bless the person who helped the dog out of the sack. Was he taken to a safe place? He clearly doesn’t belong here, and being around moving trains is extremely dangerous for him." Another user added, "So heartbreaking. Meanwhile, a third user pointed out, "The onlookers can be heard saying in Bengali that, judging by its appearance, it seems to be a 'Posha Kukur' (পোষা কুকুর), meaning a pet dog.
