Viral Reddit Post: A toxic work environment can slowly break a person, and one young woman from Bengaluru had enough. She recently shared on Reddit how she decided to quit her job after months of mental harassment that took a serious toll on her mental health. The 25-year-old, who worked as a Product Experience Manager at a well-known startup, opened up about her experience in a post titled “Quit to save my sanity.” She wrote, “Hey folks, I’m a 25-year-old female based in Bangalore. I recently put in my papers after months of going through mental harassment at work.”

Things had gotten so bad that she would have panic attacks just before entering the office. Even though her team was also going through the same stress and many had already resigned, she tried to hold on. But eventually, she realised her health had to come first. Now, she’s taking a break and giving herself four months to find a better opportunity. She said she’s exploring roles in customer experience, operations, or product consulting, preferably remote or hybrid jobs to ensure a healthier balance.

Her post has affected a lot of people and generated an online conversation about toxic workplaces, burnout, and mental health. Others praised her for choosing peace over pressure, while others shared similar experiences and expressed that they felt heard and understood.
