Fans of popular bodybuilder Illia ‘Golem’ Yefimchyk woke up to shocking news on Wednesday, September 11, when a social media post announced the untimely death of Golem at the age of 36. The much-followed bodybuilder, who was also known as the ‘world’s most monstrous bodybuilder’, reportedly suffered a heart attack on September 06, which left him in a coma. As per reports, his wife Anna was the one who performed chest compressions on him once he fell into the coma, in the hopes to revive him. Nicknamed ‘The Mutant’, Golem had a huge fan following over his rigorous diet and monstrous physique. The said post was shared on Instagram, by the ‘whoisthebestbb’, which went viral and left people reacting.

Opening up about the incident, the bodybuilder’s wife spoke to the media. “I spent every day by his side, hoping, and his heart started beating again for two days, but the doctor gave me the terrible news that his brain had died,” his wife was quoted as saying to the local media. As the news about Golem's death went viral, people expressed their condolences. Many also blamed the bodybuilder’s weight and diet as the reason that led to the heart attack at such an early age.

Reportedly, 6-foot-tall Yefimchyk was 340 pounds (around 154 kg) in weight. Meanwhile, he had a diet of ‘seven meals a day’ that included ‘five pounds of steak and over 100 pieces of sushi’, which amounted to almost 16,500 calories, as per reports.
