Chennai Viral Video: When it comes to ‘Jugaaḍ’, Indians know how to ‘eat and leave absolutely no crumbs’. Time and again, Desis have proven their DIY skills and innovative ideas, that mostly carried the potential to ‘change the world’, without even having a degree. Exemplifying the same, an auto-rickshaw driver left people impressed with his DIY fan that was made out of a pipe, with the aim to beat Chennai’s heat in style. A video of the pipe attached to one side of the rickshaw was shared online, which immediately went viral.
The video was shared on the social media platform Instagram, by the handle ‘Ramez’.

The video has been heavily circulating on social media, ever since it was shared. Most people lauded the genius idea that the man used, while some suggested further modifications that could make the DIY fan better. The post was shared a while ago and pulled 608K views from people.
Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Level 1: Beginner, Level 2: Easy, Level 3: Medium, Level 4: Hard, Level 5: Extreme, Level 6: Indian,” a user said. “Can someone clarify to me if that's for spitting or for air,” said a second person. “Can improve further by applying the Venturi effect, and decrease the size of the tube opening on the inside. It will cause the speed of the air to increase as it goes through a constriction, leading to a decrease in pressure and subsequently a drop in temperature,” wrote a third person.
“I remember one such autowala in Malad, Mumbai. He attached a big piece of thermocol to the roof of the auto from the inside which covered the entire roof. Then, to avoid passengers from asking what the thermocol was for, he wrote on that thermocol- This thermocol is attached as insulation from the scorching sun so please do not ask stupid questions about it,” read a fourth person.
