Karnataka Couple Viral Video: In a scene straight out of a modern-day comedy, a Karnataka couple ended up attending their own wedding reception virtually after getting stranded hundreds of kilometres away. What was supposed to be a happy family event turned into a perfect example of how technology can rescue a moment, right after messing it up. Medha Kshirsagar from Hubballi and Sangama Das from Bhubaneswar, both software engineers in Bengaluru, had tied the knot in Bhubaneswar on November 23.
Their grand reception in the bride’s hometown was set for December 03, and the couple planned to be in Hubballi a day earlier. But fate and IndiGo had other plans. Their flight from Bhubaneswar to Bengaluru got cancelled at the last minute, leaving them stuck far from home. With all the decorations done, guests invited, and celebrations ready, the family had no choice but to go ahead without the couple physically present.
So, in a moment that left guests both amused and surprised, the bride and groom appeared on a huge screen at the venue, waving and talking to everyone through a video call. People attended the function just like any regular reception, except the stars of the night were miles away.

For those unaware, IndiGo has been struggling with massive delays and cancellations for the past few days. On Thursday alone, more than 550 flights were cancelled, and the airline has announced that disruptions will continue until December 08.
According to reports, the chaos began after the government enforced strict new rules for crew safety, which disrupted IndiGo’s roster planning. The airline has told DGCA it expects operations to be completely normal by February 10.
