Karnataka Viral Video: One of the most important traffic rules to keep in mind- especially while driving on a busy highway- is sticking to one’s own lane. However, a car driver seemingly learned the same the hard way- at least as per the internet. A CCTV footage was shared on social media, which showed a car reportedly carrying 7 people including the passenger, reversing on a highway. The car was then suddenly rammed by a speeding truck that was coming from behind. As per reports, the incident took place in Karnataka’s Kundapur. The car was returning from Udupi after the passengers visited the Kollur Devi Temple. Reportedly, 10 people were left injured after the incident.

The video, after getting shared, pulled many reactions. Most people blamed the car driver for reserving the vehicle on the wrong side of the highway, while the rest expressed concerns over the injured victims’ well-being.

The Karnataka video was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘rushlane’. The post was captioned, “Truck crashes into a reversing car on the highway.” The video was shared two days ago and pulled 165K views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “An SUV missed getting on a flyover and was reversing on the service lane to get on it!! I narrowly missed it on my bike. Looks like its a waiting game before someone gets me,” a user said. “Who is the idiot in that car?” asked a second person.

“To save a few hundred meters worth of extra fuel, these morons endanger the life of so many people on highways daily,” added a third person. “The way the truck crashed into car I think the same would have happened if car was stationary or moving ahead slowly,” added a fourth user. “Why don't these idiots learn basic road safety during license exam,” added another.
