Jaguar New Logo Ad: Rebirth of a brand for its rebranding is not exactly a new concept. In fact, it’s a practice that has been going on for a long time. Sometimes, the changes are minor and the tweaks are simply to freshen up the logo to make it more relatable and appealing to the current times, while other times, it's simply a rebirth of the entire name. The latest to join the suit became the British luxury vehicles company Jaguar, which introduced a new logo. To show its new concept and ideas, the brand also shared an advertisement video on social media. However, it seems like the idea behind the ad did not reach the audience the way Jaguar wanted it. Wondering ‘why’? Well, that’s because the ad simply did not have a single car.
Yes, the new ad surely looked appealing and would have made sense, only if it was a clothing brand. The video hardly showed a single car or even parts of a car, and instead showed models with rather interesting outfits. As soon as the video was shared, it left the internet puzzled. Even Tesla owner Elon Musk joined the trolls and reactions as he asked about the absence of cars in the videos. Surprisingly enough, Musk did receive a response by Jaguar.
“Do you sell cars?” read the response by Musk. “Yes. We'd love to show you. Join us for a cuppa in Miami on 2nd December. Warmest regards, Jaguar,” read Jaguar’s response.
The video was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘Jaguar’. The post read, “Copy Nothing.” The video was shared two days ago and pulled M views from people.

The ad went viral and drew many reactions. Most found the ad’s concept misleading, while the rest were quick to joke about the same. A few also asked the brand to take the video down for ‘their own good’.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Umm, where are the cars in this ad? Is this for fashion?” a user said. “#BoycottJaguar along with any other business that STILL DOESN’T GET IT,” added a second person. “This communication strategy will cause your downfall; step back, change it, and quickly!” added a third person.
“Just give us supercharged v8s and a new XJ that looks like the classic. Not this shit,” commented a fourth user. “Ummm hello. I am currently a Jag owner and this is beyond ridiculous. Where are the cars? Isn’t that what you do? This will cause me to not go forward with y’all when it’s time to trade mine in. What a joke you’ve become,” added another.
