Kerala Ambulance Viral Video: A man in Kerala ended up majorly regretting his decision to not let an ambulance pass as he was reportedly slapped with a hefty fine of Rs 2.5 lakh over same by the Kerala Police. The questionable incident took place on November 07, while the man was reportedly travelling to Thrissur Medical College in Chalakudy. The incident was captured on the ambulance’s dash camera, the footage of which went viral and angered people. The video showed the ambulance continuously honking as it tried to pass the man. However, the car driver seemingly refused to let the ambulance pass as the car kept on blocking the way. As per reports, the Kerala Police also revoked the driver’s licence over the matter.

The video, after getting shared, left many furious. Most criticised the man’s ego, while the rest dubbed the driver ‘dumb’ for acting in such a manner with an ambulance that was evidently in a hurry. Many also appreciated the steps taken by the Kerala Police.

The Kerala video was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘nabilajamal_’. The post was captioned, “Life before ego—how is that hard to understand? Kerala police fined a man ₹2.5 lakhs and cancelled his licence for blocking an ambulance. His arrogance could’ve cost a life!”

Taking to the comment section, people shared their views. “Kerala's Strict Ambulance Rule Sparks Debate,” a user said. “Loved it @TheKeralaPolice Kudos. Ambulances must have dash cams, with AI reviewing footage. Vehicles blocking emergency paths? Hefty fines & license cancellation. No excuses—this is the way forward!” added another.

“Same way even when drivers block the whole traffic when their cars are banged on the roads, actually any accident the rule should be to take the vehicles on the side so that traffic doesn’t get affected, this should be a rule & must be strictly implemented,” added a third person. “Instead of fine to traffic police, the car driver should have paid for the medical treatment of the patient in the ambulance,” added another.
