Kerala Temple Festival Fire Accident: An otherwise joyful temple festival turned into a nightmare after a fireworks store caught a massive fire near Kerala's Neeleswaram on October 28. The gruesome incident reportedly unfolded around midnight, near the Veerarkavu Temple. As per reports, 153 people were left injured as the nearby area was heavily crowded at the time of the accident. Meanwhile, around 8 people are critical. A video of the bone-chilling accident was also recorded from far away, which was later shared on social media. The fire only worsened over time as it seemingly resulted in all the firecrackers bursting into flames inside the store itself. As per reports, the injured were rushed to multiple hospitals in Kasargod, Mangalore, and Kannu. The video was quick to go viral, as it left people shocked. 

The video, after getting shared, pulled many reactions. Most people were shocked over the scale at which the fire reached, while the rest enquired about the safety of others. Many also recalled similar movie scenes.

The video was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘Sree_soman’. The post was captioned, “During the Nileshwaram Veerarkavu Kaliyattam in Kasaragod, an explosion at a fireworks storage site left 154 people injured, with 8 in critical condition. District Collector Imbashekhar reported that 97 of the injured are undergoing treatment.” The video was shared today and pulled many views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Every year I hear this same news that a fire accident happened in some patakha factory. But we never learn. God knows what will happen to our country,” a user said. “Very sad moment for shopkeeper. He must have lost a lot of money,” added a second person.

“That's the most terrifying video of the month, I just hope everyone is safe,” added a third user. “I have seen multiple such cases, most of them are from rivals in the same type of business. If you understand, you know what I'm talking about,” added another. “Massive fire burns down illegal cracker shop in Hyderabad,” added another.
