Indian TV serials are known for their dramatic and unrealistic plots, but those are mostly confined to reel life and not real life. However, a recent incident in Mumbai's Film City provided the people with a reel-like dramatic moment that could have turned life-threatening. On July 26, an unexpected appearance by a leopard disrupted the sets of a Marathi TV serial in Goregaon Film City, creating chaos as people hurriedly moved away from the uninvited guest.
The incident was captured on a camera. The video showed people and workers running towards the door. Panic was evident as they tried to locate the four-legged feline and inform each other about its whereabouts. In another clip from a different angle, the leopard was seen walking inside the set's railing.

The presence of the leopard's cubs with it added to the risk, as animals tend to become more protective of their young ones. Around 200 people were present at the set when the leopard entered it, however, no injuries were reported.
All Indian Cine Workers Association president, Suresh Shyamlal Gupta, further explained the incident and expressed concern about the lack of strong measures taken by the government. He mentioned that there were more than 200 people present on the set, and someone could have lost their life. This incident was the third or fourth of its kind within the last 10 days.

After the clip was posted, netizens reacted to the incident, with many sympathising with the leopard, stating that humans encroach on their habitats, leading to such encounters. One user emphasized the need to preserve the animal's natural habitat, while another suggested moving studios to less populated areas like Karjat or beyond Virar and selling the land in Mumbai. A third commenter dubbed the incident as "Leopard Encounter: Wild Drama Unleashed on TV Set."
