Interesting videos and instances from 'in the air' have been increasingly grabbing attention on social media lately. In another 'in-flight' incident, a man shared a post on Reddit to ask the users if he was an 'A**hole' for not giving up his airline seat to a pregnant woman. The man revealed that he was flying to his family to spend the holiday together and had pre-planned and booked his seats accordingly to his comfort. But when a pregnant woman asked him to 'give up' his seat; he refused and found it unfair.

In an 'AITA' kind of incident, the man said, "I was flying by myself on a 5+ hour flight to visit family over the holidays. I specifically booked and paid extra for an aisle seat in the second-to-last row because I have medical issues that sometimes require quick access to the bathroom. Right before boarding, a woman asked me to give up my seat so she could sit closer to the bathroom. She was pregnant but did not seem distressed. While I felt for her situation, as someone with a medical condition, I did not feel it was fair to demand I move from the seat I planned for and paid for, especially since she apparently had not booked an aisle seat herself in advance."

The Reddit user, who shared the post under the name 'michaeldonelly', further informed that the flight attendants refused to mediate while the pregnant woman continued to insist that he gives up his seat. He further asked the users if he was wrong in denying his seat and that his family believes that he "should have inconvenienced (himself) and given up (his) seat.”

However, the Reddit users have different advice for him. Supporting the man for taking a stand for himself, users unexpectedly told him that he made the right decision. One user said, "Seems she just assumed she wouldn't have to pay for it, since some s*cker was going to move." Another said, "This, yeah. No idea why that woman was so focused on OP‘s seat when there were others available. Seems like she thought good old public shaming would’ve worked."

A third user said, "Entitled people thinking they can have whatever seat they want. Nope. If you paid to select your seat. That’s your seat. End of story. Your lack of planning or decision to be cheap is not my fault nor my obligation to remedy."
