Someone in South Delhi single-handedly ended up compelling Blinkit to brandish a hoarding about a certain purchase, and now, the internet cannot shut up about it. Blinkit recently released its 2023 purchase trends and social media, once again, got to witness the ‘crazy shopping rituals’ that Indians did during the entire year. Amid this all, the one purchase and a certain someone from South Delhi, who instantly not only turned into a headline but a highway hoarding, was a purchase of 9,940 condoms in 2023. As soon as the hoarding was up, it went viral on social media as well and intrigued netizens about the reason behind such a purchase. 

The post was shared on social media X (formerly Twitter) by the user ‘HaramiParindey’. The post was captioned, “Now, that is called a 'safe' investment.”

The post and the banner instantly became a hit on the internet as it went viral on social media. From people calculating the cost to dubbing it an ‘investment’, netizens flooded the post with all kinds of assumptions over the purchase. The post was shared two days ago and pulled a whopping 1M views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “9940/365= 27.23 in a day. Standing ovation or standing all day,” a user said. “That someone must be running some prostitution racket,” said another user. “That's 28 Condoms a day, 1.16 per hour ... Blud did Safe Investment , but Opened too many Accounts,” joined a third person. “I condemn this banner!” said a fourth. “Businessman of the year,” said a fifth. 

“Must be a business investment,” said a sixth user. “He was a balloon seller?” said next. “I missed Cupid though seeing it in September around 400,” wrote another.
