Viral Snake Video: Call it ‘animal cruelty’ or a life-threatening ‘stunt’, whatever may suit you, but the fact that the process of milking a snake is undoubtedly scary to watch can never be denied. And the fear can effortlessly manifold if the snake involved is a giant King Cobra! A video of a man milking a poisonous King Cobra using his bare hands surfaced on social media and went viral almost immediately. What was more scary to watch was the snake’s thick yellow poison that was collected in the container. The video was quick to trigger all kinds of reactions from people, as most found it terrifying, while the rest dubbed it ‘cruelty’ against the reptile.
The video was shared on the social media platform Instagram, by the handle ‘Animal and Reptile Addict’. The post was captioned, “Extracting VENOM from King Gideon! King Cobras are the 3rd most venomous snake in the world. Their venom is thick and golden yellow. It’s a potent neurotoxin that can possibly shut down a human's nervous system within minutes. Science says that their venom is potent enough to take down an adult elephant in one bite!”

The video went viral soon after getting shared, and left people with a whole lot of questions. Most enquired about the process and asked about the snake’s well-being, while some called it ‘animal cruelty’. Many also expressed their concerns over the man’s safety. The post was shared a while back and pulled 884K likes from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “One day bro will stop posting and we'll all know why,” a user said. “What if you miss and it actually bites you for a second? What is ur next move,” asked a second person. “Bro can’t go through metal detectors with those balls of steel,” wrote the third user.
“This is actually animal abuse, snake venom to be used needs to be milked in a sterile environment and immediately put in a freezer as it goes bad also pinning snakes puts them under stress, don't promote this rash behaviour of milking snakes for fun,” joined a fourth person.
“Have you ever been bitten by a cobra? Please be careful, you are brave or crazy dude,” added a fifth person. “How do you release them? I want to see that part,” commented a sixth netizen. “What was the venom for? And what happened to it after you milked him? I’m curious,” said another.
