However, when a man tried to point out the same ‘difference’ pertaining to Zomato, he instead ended up getting mocked by netizens. Confused? Allow us to elaborate- the man shared a picture comparing Zomato order price with a restaurant bill for the same food, where the difference was less than Rs 200. Reacting to the difference, the internet mostly found it reasonable.

The post went viral almost immediately, as people dubbed the post as a ‘nag’ that had no ‘reasonable base’. The post was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘Kannan__TS’. It read, “ My uncle ordered food from Murugan idly shop. See the Price difference between @zomato and actual.”

The post was shared yesterday and pulled 2.3M views from people. The post is going viral on social media, as people can't stop reacting. Most advocated for Zomato and commented on the expense that the company would be needing for themselves, while the rest mocked the internet user for his ‘silly nagging’.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Swiggy / Zomato is not an NGO, they need a minimum 20% profit,” a user said. “The company has to earn. The driver has to be paid. The motorcycle burns fuel. Sir, there are no free lunches,” added a second person. “This is weird!! It should be free of cost and the riders should give head massage to the customer as well. What kind of NGO is this Zomato,” wrote another.

“Difference is you sitting at your dining table and having the masala dosa without moving your body, for that Murugan idly or any restaurant for that matter won’t bear the expenses Kannan,” added a fourth person. “When you travel you take your car, pay for parking,....etc?” added a fifth user. “The price of comfort and convenience,” added another.
