Man Slaps Gutka Spitters Viral Video: Usually, when people see someone spitting on the roadside, they just ignore it and move on. But a man in Punjab decided to take a very different route and that decision has now kicked off a stormy debate online. In the viral video, the man can be seen driving when he spots two people spitting gutka on the street. Instead of staying quiet, he stopped his car, got out and began filming them. Pointing his phone at the duo, he said, “These are the guys; they were spitting on the roadside." But what happened next surprised everyone.
In the middle of the recording, he slapped both men twice. They didn’t fight back but the situation didn’t stop there. The man continued questioning them about their actions. One of the two immediately joined his hands and asked for forgiveness. Soon, both begged to be excused. Rather than letting them go, the man made them hold their ears and even forced them to do sit-ups on the road, all while his camera kept rolling. Later, he uploaded the clip online and within no time, it started spreading across social media.

Good shot given to the gutka spitters. Create similar fear among your neighbourhood. They spit on the roads, pee, throw garbage and make your surroundings dirty & healthy.

Create an environment that they should think 1000 times before spitting. Piche se kantap padega. pic.twitter.com/t8oZuS4hQd
The video shared on X (Formerly Twitter) has divided opinions. Many agree that spitting in public needs to stop. But at the same time, a large number of people feel that slapping and humiliating someone in public is not the right way to handle such situations.
"I strongly denounce violence in all its forms. Who does he think he is to assault the voiceless and marginalized? There are better ways to educate people, whether through community engagement or constructive dialogue. Soon these goons will resemble cow vigilantes," a user wrote. "Not sure if this is the right thing. However, we’ve all thought of doing this. The government has to handle this. Educate the masses by running countrywide campaigns like it does against drinking and smoking," a second user wrote.
"Gutka spitters and litterbugs ruin public spaces and health. Creating awareness and peer pressure is good, but taking the law into your own hands is just not justifiable," wrote a third user. "Absolutely horrible take ...one can't beat an ordinary citizen for anything. No one is above the law. Every citizen has to be respected and civic values start from there," added a fourth user.
