Viral Video: While language fights are heating up in some parts of the country, a refreshing and heart-touching video from Gujarat is bringing a smile to everyone’s face. Instead of getting caught in arguments about regional languages, Gujaratis are choosing peace, warmth, and simple human connection. Instagram content creator Jai Punjabi recently took to the streets of Gujarat to talk to locals. At the start of every conversation, he honestly told people, “Main Gujarat mein reh raha hun, par mujhe Gujarati nahi aati.” But instead of judging him, the locals welcomed him with open hearts and in Hindi.
One man smiled and said, “Toh reh rahe ho na? Idhar koi dikkat hai? Shanti se raho aur rehne do.” Another person made it clear that being kind to outsiders is more important than sticking to one language: “Tumhe nahi aati hai toh main Hindi bol raha hun, varna mereko bhi Gujarati aati hai.”Whether it was a shopkeeper or a common man, everyone agreed that language should never stop people from talking or working together. As one man calmly said, “Koi problem nahi. Kya problem hai? Hum log Hindi mein bolenge na.”
And then came the most beautiful line—from an auto driver who summed it all up with a thought that touched millions, “Dekho, desh toh ek hi hai. India hai. Language alag alag hai. Par bolo prem se toh baat ek hi hai.” At a time when debates are dividing people, Gujarat is quietly teaching the country something big: when you speak with love, every language feels the same.

The video shared two days ago on Instagram under the handle 'jaipunjabii' garnered 18.3 million views from social media users. Many people flooded the comment section with love and praise. "The auto wale bhaiya in Gujarat has more common sense than an average (educated) gunda from Karnataka or Maharashtra," a user wrote. "Huge Respect And Love For Gujarat and Gujaratis :) Only because of your support, I am where I have reached.. Jay Ambe," added a second user.
"Language is a medium of instruction and should not be imposed. The real question is — why would people choose to go to Gujarat? Have you seen people from South India or other developed states moving to Gujarat for jobs or work?" added a third user. "I have been in Gujarat for 15 years, and I have never had a language problem. But while living here, Gujarati also started speaking well. But till today, no Gujarati has said that they speak Gujarati. If Gujarati knows Hindi, we speak in Hindi. Otherwise, it is Gujarati," added another user.
