Taking the ‘fast delivery’ motto to a new level, a man decided to deliver pizza using a drone. Sohan Rai, the mind behind the experiment, decided to work for the delivery app Zomato for a day. After realising the hurdles faced during these deliveries, the man decided to build a drone to make the work easy. A video of the entire process is going viral on social media. The move has left the netizens divided as some appreciated it while the others saw it as a tool that can end jobs.

The video was shared on the social media site Instagram by a user ‘Sohan Rai’. The video was captioned, “Drone Delivery: A thing that we have been hearing for a very long time, but have not seen it happening practically in India. Being a huge enthusiast of drones, I wanted to put my skills into use and build an autonomous drone which could deliver a pizza directly to a home, without having a pilot. Here, I have built the drone with a lot of Jugaad, and it would be a lot better when it is commercial. This is an experiment and was conducted with safety and precautions.”

The clip began with Rai enthusiastically asking the viewers if they want to see a pizza getting delivered through a drone. He then narrated the story that led him to build the device. Becoming a delivery guy for a day, Rai said that he witnessed the difficulties that the delivery agents face on a daily basis. He then proceeded to build a drone with the help of the required equipment. After building the drone, the man experimented with it and delivered a pizza through it. The delivery process was recorded by another drone that was flying above the delivery drone. In the end, the pizza was delivered safely.

The video was shared just three days ago and has garnered 1.1M likes so far. The netizens were left divided by Rai’s decision to build the drone as some people liked the idea, while others pointed out the possibility of the delivery agents losing their jobs due to such devices.

The comment section of the post was filled with views that backed both perspectives.
