Losing a close one is never easy, but nothing is more wholesome afterwards, than getting a last word from the same loved one in the form of a present, text, message, or a shared memory. A man experienced something similar after his mother passed away due to cancer. Receiving a letter that his mother wrote before leaving, the man was more than thankful for the time he had with his mother during her last days, about which he shared on social media. The said man, Matt Gald, shared a picture of the said emotional letter on the internet and recalled the importance of expressing emotions and feelings to one’s family, friends, and loved ones.

The letter, soon after it was shared, began to do rounds on social media, and left the entire internet emotional. The wholesome memory that Matt’s mother made before leaving was evidently visible in the letter as she thanked her son for staying by her side during her last days.

The post was shared on social media platform Reddit, by the user ‘MattGald’. The post was captioned, “A letter from my mom that I found after she passed away from cancer.”

The post further read, “I miss her every day, and this makes me cry. But I cry with a smile on my face. Times are hard right now because my dad's now in the ICU from complications with his own cancer too. Just remember to tell the people you love how much they mean to you. And remind them every day that you love them.”

Be kind to yourself in these times,” a user said. “My mother taught me everything, except how to live without her." So sorry for your loss. I lost my mother 12 years ago, still hurts,” commented the second person. “Wow, can I just say what an amazing person you are to have given your mother so much in her time of need,” said a third.

“Okay this is the sweetest thing ever, but I'm really hurting for you. I'm glad she had a son like you, and you had a mom like her,” said another.
