Viral Video: Highlighting the deep-rooted issue of corruption in the country, a video was shared on social media which further brought the matter into the discussions. The video in question was recorded by a man who was seen accusing a Mumbai police officer and a constable of alleged bribery. The two were inside their car when the man began to confront them and revealed that he was ‘following’ them and was allegedly watching over their actions. The cop, on the other hand, was quick to hide a note that she had in her hand and refused to say anything. The cops eventually drove off after ignoring the man’s questions. The exact date and the location of the matter could not be confirmed.
The video began to do rounds on social media after it was shared. Most people called corruption a deep-rooted issue in the country and held the authorities responsible for the same, while the rest chastised the police officers involved. A few also demanded action, while some called the accusation wrong.
The video was shared on X (formerly Twitter), by the handle ‘Ghar ke kalesh’. The post was captioned, “Lady Police got caught on camera while allegedly taking bribes.” The video was shared two days ago and pulled 161K views from people.

Taking to the comment section, people shared their take. “Just look at her now, smh, I know exactly where that money's going,” a user said. “Many people take bribes, but only a few get caught. This is just embarrassing for the country and for the authorities too. How has this become so common should be the question,” added another.
“Nothing will happen to them, only transfer will happen, they get orders from above, they have to complete monthly targets, the big bosses divide the money together,” a third person commented. “To me, she appears to be a completely honest police officer, it seems like a conspiracy to tarnish the name of the police,” added another.
